Future Alumni Week


Calling all 2021 graduates, current UofSC students and recent UofSC graduates: let us celebrate you during Future Alumni Week, March 23 - 26, 2021, as we welcome you into the UofSC Alumni family! The UofSC Alumni Association has a week's worth of events ranging from graduation prep to social activities to wellness and personal development. Space is limited on many of the events, so please make sure to RSVP soon. Future Alumni events are open to all 2021 graduates, including undergraduate seniors, graduate students and professional school students. These events are also open to current UofSC students and the virtual conference is open to recent UofSC graduates as well. We can't wait to celebrate you!

Sunset Yoga

Hey graduating students! Looking for a way to relieve your stress with graduation approaching? Join us for Sunset Yoga on the patio of the Pastides Alumni Center as a part of Future Alumni Week! Watch the sun set as you enjoy Columbia’s beautiful spring weather during class. Be sure to bring your own yoga mat, mask, water and student ID to class! In the event of inclement weather, the yoga class will be moved inside to the ballroom of the Pastides Alumni Center.

Gamecock Game Night

Calling all 2021 Gamecock graduates! Join us for Gamecock Game Night at the Pastides Alumni Center, March 24 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. as a part of Future Alumni Week! The night will be filled with Gamecock-themed games. Winners of bingo and trivia will win prizes such as giftcards to Barefoot Outfitters and UofSC swag! Snacks, sodas and water will also be provided. Don’t forget your mask and student ID!



Friday, March 26

Future Alumni Conference

Join us on Zoom for the closing event of our annual Future Alumni Week on Friday, March 26 from 9 a.m. – noon EDT. The Future Alumni Conference will be packed full of information to help you transition from life as a student to life as an alumnus/a.

The virtual conference will begin with a welcome to the alumni family from Young Alumni Council Chair-Elect, Nicholette Macklin. Following the welcome, enjoy 30-minute sessions on interviewing, personal finance, finding community in a new city and alumni club involvement. UofSC Alumni Association CEO, Wes Hickman, will conclude the conference with more information about staying connected to your alma mater.
