Garnet Circle Member Spotlight: Elissia Cofresi-Horlback

Meet Garnet Circle Elissia Cofresi-Horlback! Elissia Cofresi-Horlback is junior mass communications major with a business administration minor at the University of South Carolina from Charleston, South Carolina. When asked why she chose to attend South Carolina, Elissia Cofresi-Horlback knew that UofSC was the school for her because of the pleasant environment and atmosphere she received during her tour.

“I honestly feel in love with the many different helpful resources provided on campus.”

On campus, Elissia is involved in the Student Ad Federation, Circle K Organization, Collegiate Curls Organization, Most Organization and the Savvy Organization. She also spends some of her time volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House and the animal shelter in Columbia.

“The community and people make UofSC special. Without the loving and caring individuals on campus, none of the events and resources would be able to occur.”

Among these positions, Elissia is a member of the prestigious Garnet Circle at South Carolina. Garnet Circle is responsible for fostering the relationships between the University of South Carolina students and members of the Alumni Association. She cites the importance of networking with peers to create lifelong friendships as the reason she was so motivated to join Garnet Circle and participate in Student Alumni Association events. Overall, Elissia truly enjoys her experience with the Student Alumni Association and the relationships it has provided.
