Meet Garnet Circle Member Gracie Lake! Gracie is a sophomore mass communications major at the University of South Carolina from Saluda, South Carolina. When asked why she chose to attend South Carolina, Gracie had great reasons on why this school stood out to her. Out of all the campuses she visited, Gracie found South Carolina to feel the most like home.
“There is an atmosphere once you walk on campus that no other place has.”
On campus, Gracie is involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, known as FCA. She is also a New and Creative Media Intern with Gamecock Athletics.
“This school is so special to me because it has given me a place to be myself. It led me to finding my true calling with my Gamecock Athletics internship. It has also given me the most amazing friends in the world. I am truly lucky to attend this university.”
Among these positions, Gracie is a member of the prestigious Garnet Circle at South Carolina. Garnet Circle is responsible for fostering the relationships between the University of South Carolina students and members of the Alumni Association. She cites the importance of networking as the reason she is so passionate about connecting students to alumni. Overall, Gracie truly enjoys her experience with the Student Network and the relationships it has provided.
