Meet Garnet Circle member Katherine Stinson! Katherine is a freshman pre-business major at the University of South Carolina. Originally from Bluffton, SC, Katherine chose to attend the university because of the state-of-the-art Darla Moore School of Business and the numerous Gamecock traditions, like sandstorm on game days and participating in the tiger burn.
“UofSC is so special to me because I am in a city, but also on a college campus. I walk down the street and see so many familiar faces and have the chance to meet someone new each day.”
At the University, Katherine is a part of the Institute of Management Accountants Club, Business Accounting Club and Garnet Circle. The members of Garnet Circle value all of South Carolina's rich traditions and strive to continue them each year.
“I was signed up for the Student Network by my parents and was told about Garnet Circle at a T-Shirt Pickup event. It sounded like something I would want to be a part of. I wanted to be more connected with the campus and being a part of the Student Network seemed like the perfect way to achieve that and meet new people.”
Katherine’s favorite part about being a Student Network is having the ability to contribute to and keep sacred the traditions on campus.
